The Mummy Rises – a Masque of the Red Death adventure
Welcome to Gothic Earth!
Gothic Earth, first revealed in 1994 with the release of the Masque of the Red Death and Other Tales boxed set, allows D&D players to enter a dark vision of our own world in the 1890s. The classic setting came to 5th Edition last year with the release of the Masque of the Red Death Player’s Guide.
Now, fresh from the fevered imaginings of Mithral-best-selling DMs Guild creator R P Davis, comes an introductory adventure for Gothic Earth: The Mummy Rises!
London, 1890s: At the grand opening of an exhibition featuring newly-discovered Egyptian artifacts at the British Museum, cultists from the Order of the Scarab and their undead minions attack an eminent Oxford University professor and Prince Albert Victor. The adventurers step in to save the day, but in so doing embroil themselves in Section 13’s fight against the Red Death in London and beyond, recruited by Mycroft Holmes and another professor by the name of van Helsing.
The Mummy Rises introduces new concepts integral to Masque of the Red Death, like Fear and Horror saves.
Luckily, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Masque of the Red Death Player’s Guide creator, Jeremy Forbing, The Mummy Rises contains everything you need to play! The Mummy Rises comes complete with a short document explaining the core concepts of 5th Edition Gothic Earth, in addition to pre-generated characters featuring all the new Masque of the Red Death character classes and abilities clearly explained.
The Mummy Rises has everything you need for approximately 4 hours of adventure in Gothic Earth! All you need is dice and pencils.
